In spring of 2021 Cruzio Internet hooked up Farm Discovery at Live Earth Farm in Pajaro Valley to our wireless network. When Farm Discovery launched a distance learning support program for students learning remotely, they needed something more to support their students but, like much of rural Santa Cruz, the farm is located in an area that does not have many reliable or affordable internet service options available.
Through the Equal Access Santa Cruz initiative, Driscoll’s stepped in with the funding that Cruzio needed to acquire the necessary equipment and get the job done. Thanks to this build, not only are students in the Farm Discovery program able to log in to school, there is also a new pocket of coverage in the area surrounding the farm and those residences now have a better internet option available to them.
